Welcome to the website of the  Department of Italian, Greek-Latin, Musical and Performing Arts Studies

The Department of Italian, Greek-Latin, Musical and Performing Arts Studies comes from the Department of Italian Studies, one of the eldest in Sapienza (1982), heir to the prestigious Institute of Modern Philology at the Faculty of Humanities, directed for many years by Natalino Sapegno, and opened to musical and performing arts in 1997. It counts on about 50 scholars in various disciplines in which the Department is organized.

It is divided into three Sections:

  • Italian Studies
  • Greek-Latin Studies
  • Music and performing art
